Joe Absolom is an English actor born on December 16, 1978. He rose to fame as Matthew Rose in the BBC soap opera EastEnders from 1997 to 2000 and won Best Actor at The British Soap Awards for his performance. After leaving EastEnders, he gained recognition for his roles in Long Time Dead and Doc Martin, playing Al Large from 2004 to 2022.
