G. Pat Collins, born George Percy Collins on December 16, 1895, began his acting career in the New York theater scene after serving in the United States Army during World War I. He made his Broadway debut in 1922's The Bootleggers and went on to appear in over 100 films between 1928 and 1958, often playing earnest roles like police or military officers. Collins had notable roles in classic films like All Quiet on the Western Front and the 1932 silent picture The Racket.
