Biography

Günter Hans Lamprecht was a German actor known for his leading role in Rainer Werner Fassbinder's miniseries Berlin Alexanderplatz (1980) and his iconic portrayal as a ship captain in Wolfgang Petersen's epic war film Das Boot (1981). His notable stage work included performances at the Schauspielhaus Bochum and Theater Oberhausen. Lamprecht also had a successful television career, with notable roles in series such as Kara Ben Nemsi Effendi and Frontiers of Darkness.
