Biography

Emma Baron was a renowned Italian stage and film actress, born Emma Bardon in Treviso on October 19, 1904. She began her career on stage in the 1920s and made her film debut in 1935 with a leading role in Freccia d'oro, which introduced her to actor Ennio Cerlesi, whom she later married in 1941. A prolific character actress from the 1940s onwards, Baron specialized in roles of mothers, including her notable part as Madre di Marta in "Angeli senza paradiso".
