Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis star as Al Crowthers and Melvin Jones, two friends who become navy recruits. Al tries to enlist to impress women, while Melvin joins to follow his doctor's order and afford ocean travel. They get assigned to a submarine, where Al romances a woman named Corinne, played by Corinne Calvet, while Melvin vies for her affection.
