During Prohibition, Stan and Ollie find themselves behind bars after Stan tries to sell their homemade beer to a policeman, earning them a stint in prison alongside notorious inmate "Tiger." As they bungle their way through life as convicts, they manage to escape during a riot, hiding out on a cotton plantation where they don blackface to evade detection. With hilarious musical interludes and over-the-top prison shenanigans, including a rousing rendition of "Lazy Moon" and an antics-filled rescue from a fire, Laurel and Hardy bring their unique brand of hijinks to this spoofs take on the prison drama genre.
