Wilfred Lucas
Biography
Wilfred Lucas was a Canadian-born American stage actor who found success in film as an actor, director, and screenwriter. He made his Broadway debut in 1904 and was later recruited to Biograph Studios by D.W. Griffith, appearing in over 50 films between 1908 and 1910. Lucas also wrote scripts for Griffith's films and directed numerous others, earning him the title of "first real grand actor" from his employer.
