Roy Knable (John Ritter) is a struggling Seattle plumbing salesman who, along with his wife Helen, gets sucked into Hellvision, a hellish world created by Spike, an emissary of Satan, after installing a high-tech satellite dish system filled with 666 channels. The couple must survive devilish parodies of TV programs, including a game show, wrestling match, and comedy-drama, if they want to return to reality alive. With the help of their young son Darryl, who uses his technical skills to patch into different channels, Roy and Helen fight for survival in this twisted hellish world that teaches Roy a lesson about the dangers of too much TV.
