Quatermass 2

Quatermass investigates reports of meteorites landing in Winnerden Flats, which leads him to a top-secret facility built on his own lunar colony plans. He soon discovers that the complex is making food for small alien creatures being housed inside huge domes, and that the aliens have infiltrated key people in the British Government. Quatermass and Chief Inspector Lomax team up with journalist Jimmy Hall to stop the alien threat, but not before they realize that Earth's atmosphere is poisonous to the aliens, leading them to sabotage their life support system and ultimately destroy their space base with a nuclear explosion.
