Gardens of Stone

In 1968, during the Vietnam War, Sergeant First Class Clell Hazard (James Caan) trains young soldiers at Arlington National Cemetery, mourning those lost in combat and struggling to come to terms with his own past. He mentors Jackie Willow (D.B. Sweeney), the idealistic son of a fallen comrade, hoping to prepare him for the harsh realities of Vietnam. Alongside other characters, including Sergeant Major "Goody" Nelson (James Earl Jones) and his girlfriend Samantha Davis (Anjelica Huston), Hazard guides Willow through the complexities of soldiering and survival in combat.
