A stock car racing legend is drawn back to the dirt track when his son, an aspiring driver, joins a rival racing team. John Travolta stars as Sam Munroe, a local racing legend who must confront his past and his rival, Bob Linsky (played by Michael Madsen), when his son, Cam, joins forces with his old nemesis. As Sam navigates the high-stakes world of competitive racing, he must also come to terms with his complicated relationship with his son and a personal loss that has haunted him for years. In the end, Sam's experience and determination prove to be the key to his son's success and redemption.
