Brighton Rock

Sam Riley plays Pinkie, a sociopathic enforcer of a Brighton gang, in this 2010 British crime film adaptation of Graham Greene's novel of the same name, set during the Mods and Rockers era of the 1960s. The film stars Sam Riley, Andrea Riseborough, Andy Serkis, John Hurt, and Helen Mirren, and was largely filmed in Eastbourne and Brighton, with some scenes shot at Hedsor House in Buckinghamshire. Ida (Helen Mirren), a friend of Rose, played by Andrea Riseborough, a young waitress who witnessed the gang's activity, takes it upon herself to save her from Pinkie.
