Biography

Samuel Peter W. Riley, born January 8, 1980, is an English actor and singer known for his breakout role as Ian Curtis in the biopic Control, which earned him a British Independent Film Award for Most Promising Newcomer. He also played Mark E. Smith in Michael Winterbottom's film 24 Hour Party People, although his scenes were ultimately cut from the final version. Riley has since appeared in films like Franklyn and Maleficent, as well as adaptations of On the Road and Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.
