Maleficent

In this dark fantasy retelling of the classic tale, Maleficent is reimagined as a complex and multidimensional character, whose idyllic life in a magical forest kingdom is shattered by betrayal and heartbreak. As she rises to become the land's fiercest protector, Maleficent places a curse on the newborn infant Aurora, but ultimately realizes that her actions are motivated by a deep-seated need for revenge and a desire to protect the innocent.
