Smokey and the Bandit

In the 1977 American action comedy road film Smokey and the Bandit, Burt Reynolds stars as Bo "Bandit" Darville, a charismatic truck-driving bootlegger who accepts an illegal job to transport 400 cases of Coors beer from Texarkana to Atlanta in under 28 hours. Joined by his friend Cledus "Snowman" Snow (Jerry Reed), Bandit embarks on a high-speed adventure pursued by Sheriff Buford T. Justice (Jackie Gleason) and his son's runaway bride Carrie (Sally Field).
