Man on Wire

The film chronicles Philippe Petit's (himself) 1974 high-wire walk between the Twin Towers of New York's World Trade Center, a feat that lasted nearly an hour and ended in his arrest. The documentary is presented like a heist film, featuring rare footage of preparations, still photographs of the walk, and re-enactments alongside present-day interviews with participants, including Barry Greenhouse (himself). Directed by James Marsh, the film won several awards, including the Grand Jury Prize and Audience Award at Sundance, as well as the BAFTA for Outstanding British Film and the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature.
