Who's Harry Crumb?

John Candy stars as Harry Crumb, a well-meaning yet inept private investigator hired to solve the kidnapping of Jennifer Downing. Eliot Draisen (Jeffrey Jones), the president of the Crumb & Crumb detective agency and mastermind behind the kidnapping, expects Harry to fail. As Harry becomes suspicious of his employer's wife, Helen, and her lover, Vince Barnes, he teams up with Nikki Downing, Jennifer's younger sister, to investigate. The case unfolds with twists and turns, leading to a chaotic airport chase that ultimately leads to the rescue of the kidnapped heiress.
