Funny Girl

Fanny Brice (Barbra Streisand) is a stage-struck Jewish teenager who lands her first job in vaudeville and gradually becomes a Broadway star. She marries Nick Arnstein (Omar Sharif), but their relationship is strained by his gambling habits and financial troubles, ultimately leading to their separation. Along the way, Fanny rises through the ranks of show business with the help of her friend Eddie Ryan (Lee Allen) and catches the eye of Florenz Ziegfeld (Walter Pidgeon).
