Troop Beverly Hills

Phyllis Nefler (Shelley Long), a recently separated Beverly Hills housewife, takes over her daughter's Wilderness Girls troop to maintain their relationship during the divorce. With unorthodox methods and customized merit badges, Phyllis becomes an unlikely leader, teaching the girls how to survive in "the wilds of Beverly Hills." However, rival scout leader Velda Plendor (Betty Thomas) and her assistant Annie Herman (Mary Gross) sabotage the troop's efforts, leading to a series of challenges that ultimately test Phyllis' leadership skills. In the end, Troop Beverly Hills proves themselves at the annual Jamboree, earning recognition as Wilderness Girls with the help of their dedicated leader and the support of their community.
