Beasts of the Southern Wild

In the mystical world of the Louisiana bayou, six-year-old Hushpuppy lives with her hot-tempered father Wink in the fragile community known as "the Bathtub", a small island beyond the levee system that protects it from rising sea levels. As nature's balance unravels and prehistoric creatures called aurochs are unleashed by the melting ice caps, Hushpuppy embarks on a perilous quest to find her lost mother. With a world torn apart by global warming and chaos, Hushpuppy must confront the harsh realities of survival in a community that may soon be submerged forever.
