Biography

Dwight Henry is an American actor and baker, born in Nashville, Tennessee, who moved to New Orleans at a young age. He founded Henry's Bakery and Deli in the historic Tremé neighborhood, which became successful enough that he planned to open a second location until Hurricane Katrina altered his plans. Henry landed the role of Wink in Beasts of the Southern Wild, earning positive reviews, before continuing his acting career with notable roles in 12 Years a Slave and Warning Shot.
