The Mermaid

The Mermaid (2016) is a romantic fantasy comedy film directed by Stephen Chow, starring Lin Yun as Shan, a beautiful young mermaid sent to assassinate a businessman named Liu Xuan (Deng Chao). When they fall in love, he is encouraged to cancel his land reclamation project that threatens the home of the merpeople. However, their happiness is short-lived as Shan's people try to kill him, and he must save her from bigger danger.
