Kikujiro

A young boy named Masao sets out on a summer vacation road trip to find his mother, encountering Kikujiro, a brash and opportunistic companion who joins him on an unlikely adventure. Along the way, they meet various characters, including a juggler and her boyfriend, a traveling poet, and two bikers, who provide unexpected surprises and unique experiences. The film's loose chapters, told through Masao's summer vacation diary, balance sad events with light-hearted moments, achieved largely through Kikujiro's character and encounters with his somewhat bizarre friends.
