Lawman

Lawman is a 1971 American revisionist Western film about Jered Maddox, a rigid marshal who arrives in the town of Sabbath to arrest a group of cattlemen for the accidental death of an old man. Burt Lancaster stars as Marshal Jered Maddox, while Robert Ryan plays Marshal Cotton Ryan, the aging and compromised lawman whose job depends on wealthy cattle baron Vincent Bronson's influence.
