The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus

A travelling theatre troupe's leader, Doctor Parnassus (Christopher Plummer), runs a magical show called the Imaginarium, where audience members are taken through a surreal dream world by a portal. A man named Tony Shepard joins the troupe and helps them collect five souls to win a bet with the devil, Mr. Nick (voiced by Tom Waits). Along the way, Tony transforms into various people based on the women he meets in the Imaginarium, but ultimately dies when lynched by mobsters. The film follows Parnassus as he must find a new way to win his soul back from Mr. Nick after his daughter Valentina (Lily Cole) gives hers over to him.
