A wealthy New York City couple, Brad and Caroline Sexton, are forced to go on the run after their accountant embezzles millions and pins the blame on them, leading them to pose as members of an Amish community in Pennsylvania to evade the IRS. As they adapt to the simple lifestyle, they rediscover why they fell in love and begin to reconnect, but their ruse is eventually exposed when their true identities are revealed at a ceremony celebrating the union between two Amish couples.
