High school senior Andie Walsh is an outcast living with her unemployed father in a Chicago suburb. She navigates love and social cliques when rich kid Blane asks her out, but struggles to balance her relationships with her best friend Philip "Duckie" Dale and the popular crowd that makes up most of her student body.
