Biography

Katherine Elizabeth Vernon is a Canadian-born American actress known for her roles in popular television and film. She played Lorraine Prescott on the CBS primetime soap opera Falcon Crest from 1984 to 1985 and portrayed Sophia in the 1992 Spike Lee film Malcolm X. Vernon also appeared in the comedy film Pretty in Pink, opposite Molly Ringwald, and had a notable role as Ellen Tigh in the Syfy series Battlestar Galactica.
