Harper

Private investigator Lew Harper (Paul Newman) is retained by attorney Albert Graves to search for his employer, multi-millionaire Ralph Sampson, who has disappeared after flying into Los Angeles. As Harper digs deeper, he encounters an array of unsavory characters and suspects in the disappearance, including a nightclub singer (Julie Harris), her father (Arthur Hill), and a private pilot (James Gregory).
