Full Metal Jacket

A film of two halves, "Full Metal Jacket" is a gripping war drama that follows the transformation of young United States Marine J. T. "Joker" Davis through brutal boot camp training at Parris Island and into the bloody street fighting in Hue during the Tet Offensive. As Joker navigates the harsh realities of military life, he witnesses the dehumanizing effects of war on his fellow recruits, including the tragic events that unfold under the command of sadistic Gunnery Sergeant Hartman.
