Voodoo Man

In this 1944 horror thriller, Bela Lugosi stars as Dr. Marlowe, a mad scientist kidnapping young women from their cars to use hypnotism and voodoo mysticism to steal their life-force and resurrect his dead wife. George Zucco plays the gullible sidekick who helps procure the victims, while Tod Andrews' journalist character eventually teams up with local sheriff to get to the bottom of the mysterious disappearances. With its eerie atmosphere and Lugosi's signature performance, "Voodoo Man" is a classic horror film that, despite being predictable, remains entertaining and engaging.
