Biography
Béla Lugosi was a Hungarian-American actor renowned for his iconic portrayal of Count Dracula in the classic 1931 film. A veteran stage and screen performer, he began acting on the Hungarian stage in 1902 and later served as an infantry officer during World War I before immigrating to Germany and eventually Hollywood. He transitioned to film with several Weimar German productions before achieving international fame with Universal Pictures' adaptation of Bram Stoker's novel.
