The Ape Man

Bela Lugosi stars as Dr. James Brewster, a mad scientist who has transformed himself into an ape man hybrid, on a killing spree to obtain human spinal fluid that may cure him of his condition. Alongside his pet gorilla, he wreaks havoc and terrorizes innocent people in search of the elusive cure. Despite its over-the-top nature and lack of seriousness, Lugosi delivers some genuine moments of acting amidst the chaos.
