The Place

A mysterious figure, dressed in a business suit, sits at a table in a cheap restaurant called "The Place," ready to listen to requests and wishes from strangers who believe he possesses the power to grant any wish in exchange for carrying out a task assigned by him. As each person's desire is granted, however, they are met with impossible moral dilemmas that challenge their very sense of self and humanity. The lives of these nine individuals intertwine, often leading them to both help and harm one another, all while the mysterious man's true intentions remain shrouded in mystery until a waitress named Angela becomes embroiled in his game. Ultimately, the film builds towards a poignant conclusion that raises profound questions about the true cost of getting what we want.
