The Passenger

A disillusioned Anglo-American journalist, David Locke, assumes the identity of a dead businessman while working on a documentary in Chad, unaware that he is impersonating an arms dealer with connections to the rebels in the civil war. Along the way, he is accompanied by an unnamed young woman. Locke's identity swap leads him into dangerous situations as he tries to avoid both the police and criminals out to get him, navigating through various European cities including London, Munich, Barcelona, and Paris. The film explores themes of identity, disillusionment, and existentialism, featuring strong performances from Jack Nicholson and Maria Schneider.
