Klute

Jane Fonda as Bree Daniels, Donald Sutherland as John Klute, and Charles Cioffi as Peter Cable are central figures in this 1971 neo-noir psychological thriller about a high-priced New York City call girl who assists a detective from Pennsylvania in solving the missing person case of a john who may be stalking her. After six months of fruitless police work, private detective John Klute is hired by businessman Tom Gruneman's friend to investigate his disappearance. Following a lead to Bree Daniels, Klute develops an uneasy relation with her as they both uncover evidence that suggests the client who wrote obscene letters to Bree may be using Gruneman's name to lure other victims.
