After moving to a retirement community, loner Martha eventually befriends her fun-loving neighbor, Sheryl, and forms a cheerleading club for young-at-heart seniors, though they face roadblocks along the way, including resistance from the community supervisor, health concerns, and even a viral video that threatens to end their team. Despite these obstacles, Martha inspires her teammates to come together and prove everybody wrong, all while keeping her own mortality a secret. Ultimately, the group finds success and joy through their cheerleading spirit, even as they face the challenges of aging and illness.
