In this 1953 film noir crime drama, Johnny Kelly (Gig Young) is a disillusioned Chicago cop struggling to balance his job and marriage, while also being tempted by his affair with stripper Angel Face (Mala Powers). Biddel's (Edward Arnold), a smooth but crooked attorney, offers Johnny an illegal mission that could change his life financially, putting him in conflict with other schemes.
