In a tangled web of love, betrayal, and identity, 1920s playwright Matsuzaki becomes entwined in a ghostly affair with Shinako, the wife of his patron Baron Tamawaki, who harbors two wives - Irene, his foreign lover turned Japanese wife Ine, and Shinako. As their doomed encounters unfold, secrets and resentments surface, leading to a tragic confrontation at the Kageroza Theater, where the lines between reality and fantasy blur.
