The Old Dark House

In a remote region of Wales, five travelers beset by a relentless storm find shelter in an old mansion, where they are welcomed by the eccentric Femm family, including Morgan (Boris Karloff), their mute butler. As the evening progresses and the group gets to know each other, their initial hospitality turns into chaos and madness. With its excellent cast, including Charles Laughton as Sir William Porterhouse and Ernest Thesiger as Horace Femm, this 1932 film is a weird, exciting, and funny haunted house comedy directed by James Whale.
