The Birdcatcher is a 2019 film directed by Ross Clarke and set in Nazi-occupied Norway during World War II. After being separated from her family, Esther, played by Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, assumes a new identity to survive the harsh climate and persecution of the Nazis. She takes refuge on a remote farm where she meets Johann, played by Jakob Cedergren, whose wife Anna, played by Laura Birn, is secretly in an affair with a German officer.
