The Kitchen

The Kitchen is a 2019 American crime film written and directed by Andrea Berloff in her directorial debut. It's based on the DC/Vertigo Comics limited series of the same name by Ollie Masters and Ming Doyle. The film stars Melissa McCarthy as Kathy Brennan, Tiffany Haddish as Ruby O'Carroll, and Elisabeth Moss as Claire Walsh. After their husbands are arrested by the FBI in 1978, the women take control of the Irish mafia's operations in New York's Hell's Kitchen, proving adept at everything from running rackets to taking out competition. With the help of Gabriel O'Malley (Domhnall Gleeson), they effectively control the family and expand their territory.
