After a mysterious woman saves her daughter from a deadly snakebite, Carmen Ejogo's character Katrina Ridgeway must repay the debt by killing a stranger before sundown. As she navigates the desert landscape and uncovers dark secrets in the city of Tulia, Texas, Katrina is pursued by a series of ominous figures and ultimately forced to confront her own morality. With time running out, Katrina takes matters into her own hands, setting a tragic path that will forever change her relationship with her daughter Clara (played by Emma Greenwell).
