Henry Brogan (Will Smith), a 51-year-old former Force Recon Marine Scout Sniper, is sent to assassinate a bioterrorist aboard a train in Belgium, prompting his retirement from killing. As he tries to reconnect with his past and find purpose, Henry becomes the target of a mysterious operative who can seemingly predict his every move, only to discover that this assassin is a younger, faster, cloned version of himself.
