Overcomer

"Overcomer" (2019) is a Christian-themed drama film directed by Alex Kendrick, who co-wrote the script with Stephen Kendrick. The movie follows Coach John Harrison, played by Alex Kendrick, as he coaches cross-country running team and helps the least likely runner, Hannah Scott, played by Aryn Wright-Thompson, attempt the impossible in the biggest race of the year. As Hannah learns about her father, Thomas Hill, played by Cameron Arnett, she discovers herself and strengthens her Christian faith. The film explores themes of identity, perseverance, and the power of faith, based on Ephesians 1 and 2.
