Based on a true story, "Night Crossing" is an interesting and well-acted production that brings to life the daring escape of two East German families who risked everything to flee their communist country via a homemade hot-air balloon. The film's predictable plot may disappoint some viewers, but its focus on the families' bravery and determination makes for a compelling watch.
