Kay Walsh was a talented English actress and dancer born on November 15, 1911, in Chelsea, London, who began her career as a dancer in West End music halls. She made her film debut in How's Chances? (1934) and went on to work with renowned director David Lean on several high-profile films, including In Which We Serve (1942) and Oliver Twist (1948). Walsh also contributed to the writing of Lean's adaptation of Great Expectations.
