Stage Fright

Eve Gill (Jane Wyman), an aspiring actress, takes in her friend Jonathan Cooper (Richard Todd), who is accused of murdering the husband of flamboyant stage actress Charlotte Inwood (Marlene Dietrich). As Eve helps Jonathan clear his name, she also becomes entangled in a complex web of mystery, deception, and romance. Detective Inspector Wilfried Smith (Michael Wilding) joins the investigation, and Eve uses her acting skills to pose as Charlotte's maid, uncovering secrets and twists along the way.
