Nine-year-old Ren flees his life in Shibuya after losing his mother, leading him to a chance encounter with Kumatetsu, a lonesome beast from an imaginary world. As Kumatetsu's unlikely disciple, Ren embarks on an adventure that teaches him about perseverance and the value of human connection, while also confronting his own darkness and the secrets of his past.
