Koji Yakusho
Biography
Koji Yakusho is a Japanese actor born on January 1, 1956, in Isahaya, Nagasaki. He was inspired to pursue acting after seeing a production of Maxim Gorky's The Lower Depths and later studied at the Mumeijuku acting studio. His notable roles include Shall We Dance? (1996) and 13 Assassins (2010), earning him international recognition, including the Best Actor award at the 76th Cannes Film Festival for his performance in Perfect Days (2023).
